Terms of use

  1. By downloading or buying Purrclick you agree to these terms. Purchases are processed by Polar, who is the merchant of record, and Polar's buyer terms also apply.
  2. You may use Purrclick for personal and commercial work, including videos you publish.
  3. You may not copy, decompile, crack, resell or redistribute the app, its sounds, cursors or artwork. The built-in sounds and art are licensed to you only for use inside Purrclick and in recordings made with it.
  4. Purrclick is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to fix bugs, but we can't promise it will work on every PC or setup, or be error-free.
  5. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Purrclick is limited to the amount you paid for it. We're not liable for indirect losses, lost data, lost recordings or lost profits.
  6. Purrclick changes your mouse cursor only while it's on, and restores the normal Windows cursor when you turn it off or quit.
  7. We may disable licences that are shared, resold or obtained through fraud or chargebacks.
  8. Purrclick is an independent product. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, Windows or any other app or platform. Product names mentioned on this site belong to their owners.
  9. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in New Delhi having jurisdiction.
  10. We may update these terms. If something important changes, we'll post it here and email buyers.

Screen recording

Applies to everything you record with Purrclick

You decide what to record, and you're responsible for it. Purrclick is just the tool.
  1. Purrclick records only when you choose what to record and press Record, and stops when you press Stop.
  2. You are fully responsible for what you record and for how you use, share or publish your recordings.
  3. Only record content you own or have permission to record. Don't record other people, for example on calls, meetings or chats, without their consent where the law requires it.
  4. Don't use Purrclick to record or copy movies, shows, music, paid courses or other copyrighted or protected content without the owner's permission, or to get around DRM or other copy protection.
  5. Follow the terms and rules of every app, website, game and platform you record, including Microsoft Windows, and the laws where you live.
  6. Recordings are saved only on your PC. We don't see, store or upload them, so we can't recover a recording you delete or lose.
  7. Purrclick and its makers are not responsible for any claim, loss, damage or legal issue that comes from what you record or how you use your recordings.
  8. Some apps and video players block screen capture. Those parts may record as black. That's expected and isn't a fault in Purrclick.

Licence

Applies to every Purrclick purchase

Your licence key is for one PC only. Once activated, it can't be shared or used on another device. Got a new PC? Email support@purrclick.app and we'll move it for you.
  1. Each purchase creates one unique licence key, generated automatically at checkout and sent to the email you paid with.
  2. A key activates on one PC. Activation links the key to that PC, so a second PC can't use it.
  3. Moving to a new PC: email support@purrclick.app with your order email and we'll release the old activation. Up to 2 transfers a year.
  4. Sharing, reselling or posting a key online is not allowed. Keys that show up on more than one PC, or in public, get disabled without refund.
  5. The app checks your licence from time to time. Short offline periods are fine.
  6. Your licence never expires and includes all 1.x updates. Big new add-ons (like theme packs or a Mac version) may be sold separately.
