A tiny Windows app with soft click sounds, cute cursors, a desktop kitten, and now a screen recorder that keeps every click and key sound in the video. Here's every part of it.
Press Record and Purrclick captures your screen with everything that makes Purrclick fun: the click sounds, the typing sounds and the ripples. Your viewers hear every key and see every click, without a mic, a loud keyboard or any editing.
Most screen recorders capture what's on screen and nothing else. To make typing heard, you'd need a mic close to a loud keyboard in a quiet room. Purrclick makes the sounds itself, so they're clean, soft and the same in every video.
| A typical screen recording | Recording with Purrclick | |
|---|---|---|
| Typing sounds | Only if your mic picks up the keyboard, along with room noise | Soft, natural key sounds in every video. No mic needed |
| Click sounds | Usually silent | Every click is heard |
| Where you clicked | Hard to spot. Often added later while editing | A ripple shows every click, live |
| Your voice | Needs a mic | Optional. The mic stays off until you turn it on |
| Where videos go | Depends on the app | MP4 on your PC. Nothing is uploaded |
Pick your whole screen or any open window from a list. Purrclick keeps its own windows out of the list.
PC sound brings in Purrclick's sounds and anything else playing. Turn on the mic to add your voice, choose which mic, and watch the level bar move as you talk.
30 fps is great for most videos. 60 fps is smoother for fast motion and makes bigger files.
A timer and a Stop button sit at the top of your screen while you record. The bar itself stays out of your video.
Videos save as MP4 in Videos\Purrclick. Change the folder anytime, or have Purrclick ask where to save every time.
The dashboard lists every video. Play, show in folder, copy the path, rename or delete (it goes to the Recycle Bin).
If Windows has your mic muted, Purrclick tells you and opens the right sound settings with one click.
Nothing is recorded until you pick what to record and press Record. Stop ends it straight away.
Please record responsibly. You're in charge of what you record and share. Read the screen recording rules.
45 soft sounds in 9 little families: Soft, Bubbly, Chime, Woody, Paper, Toybox, Funny, Anime and K-pop. Gentle enough to leave on all day.
Soft typing sounds from creamy thock to bubbly pops. Press play next to any sound in the app to hear it first.
A little ripple pops under your cursor on every click, so anyone watching knows exactly where you clicked.
10 hand-drawn cursors: Paw, Heart, Star, Fish, Milk drop, Yarn, Fifi, Wand, Candy and Zap.
Fifi is a real cream kitten (he has his own YouTube channel, Lil Fifi). In the app he naps at the edge of your screen and drinks the milk your clicks earn.
Every feature, no card, no email. If you love it, it's $4.99 once.
Click Keep. This shows up for new apps that aren't famous yet.
Click More info, then Run anyway.
That's it. Click Fifi to pick sounds or press Record.
Why the warning? Purrclick is new and made by a small team, so Windows doesn't know it yet. It doesn't change system files and never records what you type. The warning goes away once enough people use it.
